Welcome to Double J Farm, a family-owned farm established in 2020 in Whitesboro, Texas. Our journey began out of a love for country living and a desire for a simpler, more fulfilling life. Much of James' young adulthood was spent on his parents' farm, where he developed a deep connection with nature through raising livestock, gardening, and growing hay. Similarly, Jennifer cherished her childhood days spent on her grandma’s and her aunt and uncle's farms, where the tranquility and beauty of the countryside left an indelible mark on her heart. Our mission is to bring that same sense of peace, calm, and purpose to our daily lives and share it with our family and community. At Double J Farm, we are dedicated to humane treatment of all our animals and sustainable farming practices like rotational grazing. We hope that any interaction you have with our farm brings a smile to your heart as much as it does to ours.

Our Practices and Offerings

At Double J Farm, we are proud to offer duck and chicken eggs that are packed with nutrients and bursting with flavor, thanks to our free-range poultry that forages on open pasture daily. We also practice rotational grazing with our Barbados and Dorper sheep, ensuring they have access to fresh, nutritious pasture. Our cows roam and graze freely on our 20+ acres, reflecting our commitment to ethical and sustainable farming. We take pride in the quality of our produce and the well-being of our livestock. In addition to our fresh eggs, we also offer sheep and cattle, all raised with the utmost care and respect. Our goal is to provide our community with high-quality farm products while maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare and environmental stewardship.

At Double J Farm, Jennifer and James Mercer are dedicated to their community and farm life. They are supported by their three dogs: Reyna and Remi, the Great Pyrenees, and Winnie, the Australian Shepherd. Each family member, including the furry ones, plays a vital role in maintaining a happy, healthy farm.

With a regal stride and watchful eye, Reyna gracefully keeps order on the farm, ensuring every creature knows they're safe under her noble guard.

Always alert and ready for action, Remi patrols the grounds with enthusiastic dedication, making sure no mischief goes unnoticed on his watch.
